Today Hon Minister inaugurated the following services at Conference Hall, Bharath Sanchar Bhavan, New Delhi. Secretary DoT Sri J. S. Deepak was also present.
a)        CDoT NGN having core at Gurgoan and Cuttack. More than 27000 C DoT exchanges will be upgraded to NGN.
b)        Several Value added services on NGN platform.
1. All India IP Centex: Provides all India CUG between landlines and landline plus mobile.
2. Multimedia voice and video conferencing upto 30 customers.
3. Fixed mobile convergence: Landline call can routed to mobile and vise-versa, free.
4. Prepaid version of fixed telephone(landline). No rent.
5. Fixed Mobile Telephony(FMT): By downloading an application in the mobile telephone instrument, call from a landline can be made/received from the mobile phone while travelling. By this landline also become a mobile connection. Separate mobile connection is not required.
c)  Phase VII+ GSM expansion replacing the Phase III equipments which covers 21712 BTSs --- 12795 3G BTSs and remaining 2G BTSs. Already 1000 BTSs installed.
d)     1000th Wi-Fi Hot spot installed at Mata Vaisho Devi Shrine by BSNL.

In a small place like Gadag in KTK Circle, BSNL got order for 25 Wi-Fi hot spots sponsored by Urban Dev Authority. Hon Minister and Speaker inaugurated the Hot spots. BSNL got business of 60 lakhs.Congratulations to all the concerned.
