JJAC meets Board off Diirectors off BSNL
A meetiing took pllace between the BSNL management and the lleaders off the JJAC,, today
the 21..06..2010.. Allll the Board off Diirectors and Executiive Diirectors were present iin the
meetiing.. From the JJAC,, Generall Secretariies,, iinclludiing Com.. P.. Abhiimanyu,, GS,, BSNLEU,,
partiiciipated iin the diiscussiion.. The meetiing observed one miinute’’s siillence ffor the
sudden death off Com.. Awastii,, Sr..TOA,, BSNL CO..
Com.. V..A..N.. Namboodiirii,, Convenor,, JJAC,, iiniitiiated the diiscussiion.. At the outset,, the JJAC
lleaders stronglly objjected to the payment off Rs..10186 crore to the govt.. towards 3G
spectrum charge,, iin a haphazard manner..
The JJAC lleaders emphatiicalllly tolld the management that BSNL shoulld not pay the
Rs..8313 crore to the govt..,, towards BWA spectrum charges,, ffor whiich tomorrow the
22..06..2010 iin the llast date.. CMD assured that he woulld llook iinto iit and allso wriite to the
govt.. iin thiis regard..
Further,, JJAC lleaders iinsiisted that BSNL shoulld go to the TDSAT agaiinst the hiigher AGR
that iis beiing collllected by the govt.. ffrom BSNL.. They poiinted out that the priivate
operators had allready obtaiined stay order ffrom the TDSAT ffor the iincreased payment off
AGR.. CMD BSNL assured that BSNL woulld allso approach the TDSAT iimmediiatelly..
Thereaffter,, JJAC lleaders diiscussed about the equiipment procurement ffor BSNL.. CMD,,
BSNL replliied that there iis a proviisiion to procure 50% more than the proposed 5..5
miilllliion lliine equiipments.. He allso tolld that the Advance Purchase Order on thiis tender
woulld be pllaced by September,, 2010..
