iin tthe approvall off tthe 9200-13200 pay scalle by DoT.. DDG (TPF) iinfformed tthe lleaders tthatt tthe
9200-13200 pay scalle ffor tthe Non-Executtiives iin BSNL cannott be approved,, siince iitt iis iin confflliictt
wiitth Executtiive pay scalle,, as per DPE order.. Accordiing tto hiim,, tthere iis a confflliictt siince tthe
maxiimum off tthe 9200-13200 scalle iis hiigher tthan tthe maxiimum off tthe E0 pay scalle (6550-11350)
off tthe Executtiives.. The lleaders expllaiined tthe DDG (TPF) tthatt iitt was nott correctt tto say tthatt tthere
was a confflliictt and requestted hiim tto reconsiider tthe case posiittiivelly..

offffiicers,, on tthe pllea tthatt tthere iis a confflliictt,, iis iincorrectt ffor tthe ffollllowiing reasons::-
(ii) The BSNL,, tthe Non-Executtiives are allready haviing a pay scalle off 8570-12245.. The
maxiimum off tthiis scalle,, ii..e..,, 12245 iis hiigher tthan tthe maxiimum off tthe E0 payscalle off
6550-11350 off tthe Executtiives.. As such,, tthere cannott be any objjecttiion iin approviing
9200-13200 scalle by DoT..
(iiii) IIn BSNL,, tthe ttwo executtiive pay scalles off E0 (6550-11350) and E1 (8600-14600) are
nott iin use.. The miiniimum payscalle avaiillablle tto tthe Executtiives iin BSNL iis E1A (9850-
14600).. The maxiimum off tthiis E1A scalle iis hiigher tthan tthe proposed new scalle off 9200-
13200.. Hence,, tthe questtiion off confflliictt does nott ariise..
The Addiittiionall Secrettary DoT assured tthe lleaders tto llook iintto tthe case and do tthe needffull..
